Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Seygov, a product of Nassau Technologies LLC ("Seygov," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you access or use the Seygov platform and related services ("Services"). This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information, and our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to the use of cookies as described in this Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your web browser when you visit a website or web application. They are widely used to enable websites and platforms to function correctly, maintain security, and preserve session state between page loads. Cookies may be:
- Session cookies — temporary cookies that exist only for the duration of your browser session and are deleted automatically when you close your browser; or
- Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device for a defined period of time or until you manually delete them.
Seygov uses cookies only to the minimum extent necessary to operate the Services securely and effectively.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
A. Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies
Seygov uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the core functionality of the Services. These cookies are used to:
- Authenticate user sessions and maintain secure logins for Subscribers and authorized users accessing the platform dashboard and administrative functions;
- Protect the platform against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks by validating that form submissions originate from legitimate authenticated sessions;
- Maintain session state across page loads to ensure the Services operate as intended;
- Support API authentication and bearer token session management.
These cookies are mandatory for the operation of the Services. Without them, Seygov cannot provide authentication, security protections, or core platform functionality. Users who disable essential cookies will be unable to log in or use the Services.
B. No Advertising, Tracking, or Third-Party Cookies
Seygov does not use and expressly prohibits the use of the following types of cookies in connection with the Services:
- Advertising or targeting cookies;
- Behavioral profiling or tracking cookies;
- Third-party analytics cookies;
- Social media tracking pixels or cookies;
- Cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.
Seygov does not sell, share, or otherwise make cookie data available to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial or marketing purposes.
3. Cookies in Public-Facing Application Submissions
When members of the public access and submit information through applications deployed by Subscribers on the Seygov platform, the Seygov platform may set essential session cookies on the submitter's device solely to facilitate the secure operation of the submission process, including CSRF protection and session management.
- These cookies are set only for the duration of the user's interaction with the application and are not used for tracking, profiling, or any purpose beyond enabling the submission to function correctly.
- Subscribers, as Controllers of their deployed applications, are solely responsible for ensuring that any required cookie notices or consent mechanisms are provided to members of the public in compliance with applicable law.
- Seygov is not responsible for any cookies set by third-party systems, LDAP providers, SMTP servers, or any other infrastructure connected to the Services at the Subscriber's direction.
4. Managing Cookies
You may configure your browser to refuse, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. However, please be aware that:
- Disabling or blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into or using the Services, as session authentication and CSRF protection depend on cookie functionality;
- Seygov cannot guarantee full or partial functionality of the Services if essential cookies are disabled;
- Seygov shall not be liable for any inability to access or use the Services resulting from cookie restrictions applied by the user, the user's browser, or any third-party browser extension or security tool.
Instructions for managing cookies in commonly used browsers can typically be found in the browser's help documentation or settings menu.
5. Do Not Track
Seygov does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals at this time, as no uniform technical standard for such signals has been established. Because Seygov does not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising, DNT signals do not affect the operation of the Services.
6. Force Majeure
Seygov shall not be liable for any inability to deliver Services or Service functionality arising from cookie restrictions applied by users, browsers, operating systems, or third-party security tools, or from disruptions in browser-level cookie handling mechanisms caused by events outside of Seygov's reasonable control.
7. Changes to This Policy
Seygov reserves the right to update or modify this Cookie Policy at any time at its sole discretion to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or applicable legal requirements. Updated versions of this Policy will be posted on the Seygov website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of an updated Cookie Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically.
8. Contact Information
Questions or concerns regarding this Cookie Policy may be submitted through the contact methods provided on the Seygov website. Seygov will make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but does not guarantee any specific response time.
